Window Graphics for Storefronts, Offices and Vehicles

Cut Vinyl Lettering and Logos

Precision-cut opaque or translucent vinyl for business names, logos, phone numbers, websites and hours. Weeded, taped and installed pane by pane with clean alignment and no visible background material.

Full-Color Printed Window Graphics

Digitally printed graphics for promotions, product imagery, seasonal campaigns and full-color branding. Printed on outdoor-rated media with UV laminate so colors hold up to sun and street exposure.

Frosted and Etched-Look Privacy Film

Sandblast-effect film for conference rooms, glass offices, clinics and storefront lower panels. Adds privacy while keeping daylight, and can be cut with logos, patterns, gradient bands or safety markers.

Perforated One-Way Window Film

Perf film lets you print a large graphic on the outside of the glass while people inside still see out. Ideal for large storefront windows, restaurants and vehicle rear glass that must stay usable.

Full Window Wraps and Coverage

Edge-to-edge graphics across a full window bay for maximum visual impact, including blackout backing when you want to fully block the view into a space under renovation or in transition.

Hours, Promos and Seasonal Decals

Small-format decals for business hours, open/closed notices, payment icons, delivery apps, sale pricing and holiday promotions — easy to swap out as your messaging changes.

Door and Entry Graphics

Push/pull decals, door lettering, suite numbers, ADA-friendly contrast markings and mid-height safety bands so glass doors read clearly and meet common building requirements.

Removal and Replacement

Old, cracked or faded vinyl removed cleanly with heat and adhesive remover, leaving glass ready for new graphics — including takeovers of previous tenant branding.

Window design

Window Graphics Layout and Storefront Glass Design

Glass is usually the largest branded surface a business already owns. The goal is to use enough of it to be read from the sidewalk or the street without turning the storefront into a wall.

We plan coverage around sightlines: what a customer needs to read while walking past, what should stay clear so the interior looks open and inviting, and what the landlord or village allows.

Layouts are set per pane. Lettering height is chosen for viewing distance, and copy is prioritized — name and logo first, services second, hours, phone and website last.

You receive a mockup of the graphics on a photo of your actual glass before we print or cut anything, so you can check letter size, coverage percentage and color against the real background.

01

Glass Measured

Every pane measured and photographed, frames and mullions noted.

02

Layout Mockup

Lettering and graphics rendered on the photo, pane by pane.

03

Squeegee Install

Cleaned, aligned and installed on site — usually in a single visit.

Film types

How to Choose the Right Window Graphics

Cut Vinyl Lettering

Best for names, logos, services, hours and phone numbers. Clean, permanent-looking, no visible background material and the most economical option per pane.

Frosted and Etched-Look Film

Best for conference rooms, clinics and lower storefront glass that needs privacy, plus safety visibility bands on full-height glass.

Perforated One-Way Film

Best for full-color graphics that must not blind the interior — you see out, passers-by see the printed image.

Full-Color Printed Graphics

Best for promotions, seasonal campaigns, menus and photographic imagery, contour-cut or printed edge to edge.

Removable Promo Graphics

Best for sales, grand openings and limited campaigns that need to come off cleanly in a few weeks or months.

Our process

From Window Measurement to Vinyl Installation

01

Site Visit and Measurement

We measure every pane individually — storefront windows are rarely identical sizes.

02

Design and Layout

Copy hierarchy, sizing and placement planned so the message reads from the sidewalk and the street.

03

Digital Mockup

Your graphics overlaid on a photo of the actual storefront, so you approve the real look.

04

Material Selection

Cut vinyl, printed film, frost, perf or removable media chosen for the surface and lifespan.

05

In-House Printing and Cutting

Printed, laminated, contour-cut and weeded in our Chicago warehouse with proof-matched color.

06

Professional Installation

Glass cleaned, graphics squeegeed wet or dry, edges sealed — no bubbles, no lifting, no mess.

Removal & refresh

Old Vinyl Removal, Refresh and Seasonal Changeouts

Most window projects start with taking something off. Sun-baked vinyl, cracked lettering from a previous tenant and old promo graphics all leave adhesive that has to come off without scratching the glass or damaging tint.

We remove old film, clean the adhesive, and reinstall new lettering or graphics on the same visit so the storefront is never left half finished.

For businesses that change messaging often, we keep your artwork on file and produce seasonal or promotional sets that install over the same panes without redesign work every time.

Materials

Window Film Materials for Chicago Weather

Storefront glass in Chicagoland takes direct sun, road salt, freeze-thaw cycles and constant cleaning, so film choice matters as much as the artwork.

We use exterior-rated cast and calendered vinyl, UV-stable printed media with protective laminate, perforated one-way film and etched-look privacy film.

Interior-mounted graphics last longer on heavily weathered facades; exterior mounting is used when the glass is tinted, insulated or the design must be read at an angle.

Window Coverage Rules for Chicago Storefronts

Chicago and many suburbs limit how much of a storefront window can be covered, and shopping centers and landlords often add their own rules about placement, colors and promotional graphics.

We keep layouts within typical coverage limits and can adjust a design so it still reads clearly at a lower coverage percentage.

Window lettering rarely needs a permit on its own, but it is often reviewed as part of a larger storefront sign package. If your project needs a submittal, we prepare it.

Pricing factors

What Affects the Cost of Window Graphics?

Pricing depends on total square footage, number of panes, cut vinyl versus full-color print, film type, whether old graphics need removal and whether installation is interior or exterior.

Cut lettering on a few panes is one of the cheapest ways to brand a location. Full-coverage printed or perforated graphics across a wide facade cost more but replace a much larger sign.

FAQ

Window Graphics FAQs

What kinds of window graphics do you offer?
Cut vinyl lettering and logos, full-color printed graphics, frosted privacy film, perforated one-way film, full window wraps, promotional decals and door graphics.
How long does window vinyl last?
Cast vinyl typically lasts 5–7 years outdoors. Calendared and promotional grades run 1–3 years. We recommend the right grade for how long you need it up.
Can window graphics be removed later?
Yes, and cleanly when installed and removed properly. For short-term campaigns we can specify removable media designed to come off without residue.
Will frosted film block my natural light?
No. Frosted film diffuses the view for privacy while letting daylight through, which is why it's popular in conference rooms and clinics.
Can people still see out through perforated film?
Yes. Perf film has a pattern of tiny holes, so a full-color graphic reads from outside while people inside keep their view out during daylight.
Do you install on curved or textured glass?
Yes, in most cases. Curved glass is fine; heavily textured or patterned glass limits adhesion, and we'll tell you upfront if it isn't a good candidate.
How fast can window graphics be done?
Simple lettering and decals are often ready in a few business days. Larger printed or full-coverage projects usually take 1–2 weeks including design approval.
Can you remove old or faded window vinyl?
Yes. We remove previous graphics, clean off adhesive residue and prepare the glass before installing new artwork.
Do window graphics need a permit?
Some villages limit how much of a storefront window can be covered. We check the local rule for your address and plan coverage accordingly.
Do you ship graphics or only install them?
We install. Application quality decides how the finished job looks and lasts, so we keep it in our own hands throughout Chicago and the suburbs.
